Ekalavya is the Distance Education Platform founded by Ayush Valley Foundation for Ayurveda Studies. Ayurveda is considered to be the oldest medical science established in India about 5000 years ago. Ekalavya currently offers short term courses of 10 hour, 20 hour and 30 hour duration spread over 1, 2 or 3 months. It’s planned in such a way that the duration will not exceed an hour on a daily basis.

Ayush Valley is a registered charitable organization in India with an aim to promote AYUSH departments of medicine, namely Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Sidha and Homeopathy. Ayush Valley is an assembly of professionals, theoreticians, thinkers, philosophers, philanthropists, scholars, veterans and all those who wish to have a common platform for the good and wellness of our planet in relation to our life. It will de- define and re- define life and wellness.

Education being one of the main areas of interest of Ayush Valley, we have partnering with the most trusted name in Ayurveda in India SAMAJAM. Samajam, popularly known as Keraieeya Ayurevad Samajam was established in 1902. It was the first in the world to run a school for Ayurveda Studies. Currently Samajam’s education institution is PNNM Ayurveda Medical College and Ayush Valley Courses are conducted by the Medical College.

Ekalavya
Ekalavya is a character from the epic The Mahābhārata. He was a young prince of the Nishadha, a confederation of jungle tribes in Ancient India. He is considered to be the first in history of world to have had distance education as he was denied education under an upper denominated Guru, a teacher. He learnt and mastered archery by sitting on a tree outside the Gurukul, a traditional school watching the Guru teaching archery to other upper caste students.
